Hello! I’m Emily, a home educating mum of seven kids, living in England.

There’s more to me (of course), but if you’re here, it’s because you want to hear more about life as a home educator. Which is fortunate, as that’s what you’re going to get.

Every home educator handles things differently. Why? Because all their children are different to all the other children (you know this, you don’t need me to tell you…) But the reason I am telling you, is because all home education is different. There isn’t one “right” way.

So, what is my way? What are you in for if you read these posts…? If I had to describe our home education, it would be semi-structured (veering on more structured than not) with the freedom to explore interests and topics both inside and outside the house. I’m a Project Manager by trade, so you can expect a LOT of chat about planning and organising.

So, if this is starting to sound like your thing, then stick around. Stuff is going to get planned.
